Academic Decathlon Team Takes First Place!
The Stella Maris Academic Decathlon team came in First Overall in the competition for the Diocese of San Diego held on March 7, 2009. The team moves on to the state competition held on May 2, 2009 in Redwood City, CA.

First Place Mathematics -- Michael Wayne (8th Grade)
Third Place Fine Arts -- Eileen Kitrick (8th Grade)
Third Place Social Studies -- Julia Slupska (8th Grade)
Fifth Place Current Events -- Daniela Anastasi (6th Grade)
Sixth Place Literature -- Libby Noya (6th Grade)
Sixth Place Science -- Storm Star (7th Grade)
Additional team members include Collin Dillingham (7th Grade), Luke Bucon (6th Grade), and Emily Fuster (6th Grade).
