Mrs. Jenkins attended Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts where she received a degree in Sociology and Elementary Education. Soon after graduation she moved to Washington State where she began teaching and also earned her Master's degree in Reading and Literacy. While in Washington she also earned her Reading Specialist credential. Once Mrs. Jenkins returned to San Diego she substituted in the Poway Unified School District prior to finding her home at Stella Maris Academy. This will be her fifth year as Kindergarten Teacher at SMA.

Mrs. Kain attended Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Ca, where she received a degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications. After working in marketing for a few years, she decided to pursue a career in teaching, earning her credential from San Diego State University. Mrs. Kain joined Stella Maris Academy last year as the 7th grade Religion teacher and Jr. Yard teaching assistant. This year, she is excited to be working solely with Mrs. Jenkins and the Kindergarten class.
